I’m Moayad Hani, a Palestinian who is highly motivated by software and technology. I’m a professional software engineer and I live among computer tools in my town. Development is my profession and passion. Programming particles swim in my blood beside the red and white cells.
In 2016, I took my Master degree in Robotics and Automation from UM, a university that is highly reputed and is one of the best universities in the world. Since 2012 and probably a little earlier, my 10 fingers have typed thousands and thousands of lines of code and countless people and organizations around the world are now enjoying the awesome solutions that I have delivered to them since then!
The Spark that Formed Who I am Today
It all started even before my university life when I was in my secondary school. I remember myself being fond by the computers around me and how they are able to process information and present data in such a friendly way. Since then, I made up my mind to take the way that will let me know the secrets behind computers. In 2007, I was blessed to be awarded a full scholarship from MMU university in Malaysia to study the Bachelor degree in Robotics and Automation. That’s the great oppurtunity that formed what I’m today. I fell in love with electronics and software and focused myself into developing codes to run small robots and tiny machines. I joined competitions to show off my projects and yeah, I got the appreciation that matched my smart and hard work.
Well as a person who got married when I was 22 years old and had the first child when I turned 25, I took on the responsibility to provide for my family. That was harsh but, at the same time, was what motivated me and made me what I am today.
My Principle
“If they can do it, you too can do it. Even better!” – Olugbenga
This quote always motivates me to start what is new. The key here is to start learning how new things work. I had my smartphone with me and always wondered if developing Android apps would allow me to provide for my family. I did not have the knowledge or skill to develop such apps, but all I was sure of is that I have the skill of self-learning. I started to follow a YouTube channel called TheNewBoston and watch the videos from the Android Application Development Tutorial paylist until I became good enough to develop selling applications. This journey has set me up to become a software engineer.
Spreading Education
Since long, I’ve been spreading knowledge and educating those around me and around the world too. Robert Heinlein once said and I quote: “When one teaches, two learn“. I believe that knowedge should not stay only in its owner’s head. In 2013, I published my first YouTube channel which is now named Code Wondo.
Family
I’m blessed to have an amazing wife and 2 beautiful daughters named Sulafah and Layan. They are now on their way to become future givers as their father!
